Roberto Fenollosa studied Physics at Universitat de València (1988-1993) and obtained the Ph. D degree in 2000 at Universitat Politècnica de València. He worked as a post-doctoral student with prof. Francisco Meseguer (CSIC) and realized a postdoctoral stay (2003-2005) at the Quantum Optoelectronics Laboratory of Kyoto University with prof. Susumu Noda.
He has performed research mainly on optical properties of nanostructured materials: porous silicon, photonic crystals, photonic nano-cavities and on the synthesis of silicon micro-spheres by chemical vapour deposition.
He works currently as a researcher at Instituto de Tecnología Química (CSIC) in the “Nanomateriales para Fotónica, Optoelectrónica y Energía”group.
